Twenty years of production systems across 90+ exchange venues. The work is the credential.
What I Have Delivered
Eight years at IMC Financial Markets building and maintaining connectivity across CME, Eurex, ICE, NYSE, OPRA, and 85+ additional venues. FIX protocol, proprietary binary protocols, session management, failover. The infrastructure that keeps a top-three global options market maker trading at the latency markets demand. Designed and delivered the centralized reconciliation system when IMC acquired Goldman Sachs’ NYSE DMM rights for 630+ securities. The constraint was real: the desk was live, the positions needed reconciling daily, and there was no existing system to inherit. Built from inception to production in four months.
Built the real-time ETF basket valuation system that launched IMC’s ETF trading desk. Real-time NAV calculation, basket composition tracking, arbitrage signal generation. Zero to live trading in three months.
Built the metadata database at Primephonic that Apple acquired in 2021 and relaunched as Apple Music Classical. The engineering challenge was classical music’s unique taxonomy: a single composition can have thousands of recordings from different artists, orchestras, conductors, and eras. The database modeled that complexity at scale. Read: Parsing the Da Capo Catalog →
Two granted US patents covering emergency radiology workflow systems: closed-loop critical study notification and escalation chain systems. Both in production use. The patents demonstrate the breadth of production engineering across domains — and support O-1A extraordinary ability visa pathways for US engagements.
Track Record
Based in Amsterdam. Targeting APAC capital markets for CTO, VP Engineering, and Head of Technology roles. Advisory engagements are remote. Leadership and delivery engagements require relocation — four continents of production delivery, and ready to move for the right opportunity.
Java at production scale in low-latency environments — GC tuning, off-heap memory, JVM performance engineering. Kotlin, Python. FIX protocol and proprietary binary exchange protocols across dozens of venues. Ring buffer architectures, zero-allocation hot paths, NUMA-aware memory, lock-free concurrent processing. Spring Boot, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, MongoDB, PostgreSQL. Twenty years of shipping systems that run under real market conditions.
