Selectively Exploring Opportunities
Twenty years of building infrastructure that financial markets depend on. Four continents. Two US patents. One acquisition by Apple. Currently based in Amsterdam, exploring the right next chapter.
Who I Am
I am a senior quantitative software engineer who builds the systems that sit between trading desks and global exchanges. For the past decade, my work has been in the most demanding corner of software engineering: low-latency market-making infrastructure where microseconds translate directly into revenue, and reliability is not a feature but a prerequisite.
I am not looking for a job. I am selectively considering the right opportunity with the right firm — one where deep technical expertise in exchange connectivity, trading infrastructure, and real-time systems is valued at the level it deserves.
What I Have Built
What I Am Looking For
I am selectively exploring senior and principal-level roles in quantitative finance, trading technology, and exchange infrastructure. The right opportunity combines deep technical challenge with genuine impact — building systems that matter at firms where engineering excellence is a competitive advantage, not a cost centre.
I am particularly interested in opportunities in Singapore, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, New York, and Chicago — though the right opportunity anywhere merits a conversation.
Target Markets & Firm Types
I am looking for roles at prop trading firms, market makers, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, and investment banks that build exchange connectivity, order management systems, market data infrastructure, and low-latency execution platforms. My experience with FIX protocol, proprietary binary exchange protocols, and multi-venue connectivity across 90+ global venues — including CME, Eurex, ICE, NYSE, OPRA, and dozens of APAC and emerging market exchanges — translates directly to firms expanding into new venues and asset classes.
Global Mobility
I have lived and worked on four continents. Relocation is not a barrier — it is a feature of my career. I am available for relocation within 4-8 weeks of a signed offer.
Technical Depth
My primary language is Java, used at production scale in low-latency environments where garbage collection tuning, off-heap memory management, and JVM performance engineering are daily concerns — not abstractions. I work fluently in Kotlin and Python. My infrastructure experience spans Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Docker, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL. I have implemented FIX protocol and proprietary binary exchange protocols across dozens of venues. I have built systems that process tens of thousands of messages per second with deterministic sub-millisecond latency — ring buffer architectures with zero allocation on the hot path, NUMA-aware memory management, and lock-free data structures for concurrent market data processing. These are not resume keywords. They are things I have shipped to production and operated under real market conditions.
